Abstract

This artwork is related to the territory because it represents the biodiversity and interconnection of life in the Amazon region. By depicting the snake alongside other typical Amazonian animals and plants, the artwork emphasizes how each element of the ecosystem contributes to the vitality and balance of the territory. Furthermore, being created with natural inks on llanchama, a traditional material from the region, the artwork also highlights the deep connection between Indigenous culture and their natural environment.

This artwork is a drawing created with natural inks on llanchama, a traditional material from the Amazonian region. At the center of the composition, a snake stands out as the main element. The snake extends throughout the drawing, becoming a path or surface traversing the entire scene. On the snake, we can see other typical animals of the Amazonian region, creating an image of harmony and coexistence in the ecosystem. In addition, trees and plants grow along this serpentine “path,” reinforcing the sense of life and vitality in the Amazon rainforest. The artwork appears to celebrate the richness and beauty of nature in this region while suggesting that the snake symbolizes connection and unity in this environment.
