Abstract
This artwork prompts contemplation about the relationship between humans, technology, and the natural environment within the context of the Amazon rainforest, making it a compelling exploration of the concept of territory.
The drawing/painting, titled “The Sound of the Animated River: Peque Peque,” presents an intriguing scene in the jungle. At the center of the composition, three men, each holding a hose, aiming their water streams in the same direction. Uncertainty hovers over the scene, as it is unclear whether they extinguish an invisible fire or participate in an absurd scene where water takes on volume in space. This ambiguity adds a mysterious and reflective touch to the artwork. In the background of the sky, you can see a helicopter approaching from afar, adding a modern element and contrasting with the natural jungle environment. The artwork suggests an interaction between technology and nature, alluding to human influence on jungle ecosystems.
